The landscape
Nestled inbetween the Val d’Orcia and the Val di Chiana, in the heart of Tuscany, Montepulciano stands out for its rolling hills, often covered with vineyards and olive groves. Art and culture
Montepulciano is “the Pearl of Sixteenth Century”. The churches, the noble palaces, squares and alleys are made by the most important artists from the Italian Renaissance. The temple of San Biagio is seen as model of Renaissance architecture. The Civic Museum, the Theatre and the Calamandrei Library add to the prestigious cultural life the town has to offer.

Wine and cellars
“Montepulciano is the king of wine“ said Francesco Redi. The famous Vino Nobile and the authentic red wines seduce the world with a prestigious production. In the city of Agnolo Poliziano the wines age in monumental wine cellars caved in tu. These underground treasures harbour a thousand year-long tradition that only waits to be explored!

AIMED AT
Students from 8 to 18 years old who wish to spend a holiday week studying classic music, jazz, pop/rock and improvisation. There will also be groups for percussions, guitars or piano, classical chamber music, bands and orchestras divided by age and level of skills. They will all work together for the concert at the end of the week.

Music Institute “Henze” of Montepulciano, Ricordi Music School, AltreVoci ensemble, 42° Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano
Students of all instruments and vocals from 14 to 26 years old, who wish to undertake an approach to contemporary music. The project will be completed with a concert included in the programme of the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte.
