SUNDAY JULY 26th IN THE PIAZZA GRANDE IN MONTEPULCIANO: BUY HERE YOUR TICKET
«There are women who it would be better for many men never to meet» Carmen, Les hommes is a choreographic work by Loredana Parrella, inspired by the masterpiece of the same name by Prosper Merimée with dramaturgical consultant Roberta Nicolai, lighting by Gianni Melis, original music composed and performed live by Pino Basile, with some references to Bizet’s opera. A female view through male bodies with six performers on stage, alternating irony and a poetic search for their inner dimension. A fusion of classic and contemporary, where melodies fuse into a unique atmosphere, which guides and articulates the protagonist’s journey. The persistence of a gypsy flavour represents the undomitable strength from which they cannot free themselves and which will turn into a test for each of the characters.
Loredana Parrella, choreographer, dancer, director and actress, she unites a theatre elements to the scene and action. Since the ‘90s she has been playwrite and director of contemporary dance productions.
